I'm in shock at this rn LMAO where would we even begin with this..
If want to you censor it a bit better do it like this ''**rn or this ''P*rn'', Then again, there's nothing vulgar about the word, so don't be afraid to use it.
Captain Obscurity, the author behind the "To Obscurity and Beyond" blog, located a Hawaiian newspaper article from 1976 about a man named as “Ed Dee Louie (Eddie Lui)”. The article states that he arrived in America in 1967, coming from Canton, China, and studied commercial art for two years at New York’s School of the Visual Arts. The article describes some of his early works, including “an English dictionary with his 1967 visa photograph attached to the front, 17 copies of Seventeen Magazine bound together with string,” and “a teapot filled with letter T’s”. The pieces described in the article, said to have been performed at a venue named “The Foundry” the previous Monday night, are as follows:
“Drawing” (1973) Details largely unknown. Photo exists showing Louie “[describing] a circle in the sand”.
“TIME PIECES” This piece consists of two people lying in a circle of sand, simulating the minute and hour hands of a clock, which a third person walks around them, simulating the second hand.
“V.D.” (1974) Apparently involves tossing a live carp onto a pile of sand “along with plastic bags of water”. This is apparently an attempt “to examine the collective responsibility for the death of [the carp]”. The article states that the fish managed to survive.
“Untitled” (1972) Features “a dark room, a nude woman, and pistol shot, a falling, breaking mirror and a roomful of exploding firecrackers”. Besides this, details largely unknown.
Interestingly, the article also alludes to the existence of taped recordings of some of them. The article also includes a picture, though admittedly not the clearest, of the man. Given what has been described of the man in Sam Ashby’s research listed above, I’m confident in saying the man listed in this article is our Ed D. Louie.
Following this, I've turned up a few possible examples of this man’s work, although I stress that I’m unable to definitively confirm if this is indeed the same man. First, I found an old Blogspot article with several photographs credited to “my friend Ed Dee Louie”. I found two small ads from 1985 scouting for models under the name “Ed Dee Louie Photography”, as well as an ad from 1986 for a modelling agency which features a photo credited to an “Ed Dee Louie”. Lastly, I turned up several ads for a business in Honolulu named “Ed Dee Graphics”, with many ads actively scouting for models. Full citations will be provided in an update to my piece which should be available on my website within the hour.
And one last thing, I turned up a listing of the contents of the February 1980 issue of the adult magazine 'Partner', though I wasn't able to find a scan of the issue itself, which listed one of the articles as having illustrations by an Ed Dee Louie. Exciting stuff!
A few more articles have turned up, including one which features a much clearer picture of Mr Louie. The articles are mostly about his family and business ventures unrelated to this film, so I'm hesitant to reprint any major details from them out of respect for his and his family's privacy. However, given that they're technically publicly available, and since the whole stated point of my piece was not to withhold any information whenever possible, I've included citations of these articles, though very few details directly from them, in an update of my essay which should be live on my website now.
Been lurking around on this thread for a while, I just wondered if there were any screenshots from the film online.
Or is there not even that?
There's one behind-the-scenes still (featured uncensored in my work on the film, but available censored on the LMW article), and several print advertisements that include blurry screenshots (available on the LMW article).

Hey all, I finally decided to make an account to post and stuff! Anyway I have been following the search for "Him" someone on Letterboxed (movie review site) actually spoke to a few people who have seen the film and compiled quite a lot of information about it. Take a look
