I am wondering about the state of any of the online Flash games hosted on the Nintendo website around 2006. I distinctly remember in-browser games based off of Odama and Animal Crossing: Wild World. I am having no luck finding them on the Wayback Machine and was curious about the state of these games otherwise.
Are you absolutely sure it was Nintendo's official website? They don't seem like the kind of company to have that kind of stuff, and the mid-2000s were like the golden age of online, unofficial flash games based on Nintendo games. Then again, I've never seen any Odama or Animal Crossing flash games, so I can't say that this isn't the case, either.
I couldn't be more positive that these were hosted on the official Nintendo website, which is why this is such a point of curiosity to me. You're exactly right about it being odd. This is why I think they were taken off around 2008.
I remember an Odama game and a Wild World game, as I mentioned, but I think I also remember a Nintendogs flash game, which to me suggests these would have been available around 2006.
I've never seen these games mentioned anywhere on the internet—let alone available in a playable form—which is what led me to make this post. However, I'm not too familiar with the archival of Flash games, so I have no idea if these are tucked away somewhere.
Damn, this is really interesting. Looks like there was a lot of content that's unavailable now—besides Flash games, there were wallpapers and so forth. I'm sure there were many more Flash games than the ones listed there, too. Looks like good LMW content.
Here, I'll make a more comprehensive list for anyone interested because I'd like to see this catch on.
At some point circa 2006, the following games were hosted on the official Nintendo website (according to my recollection as well as this post on the DK Vine forum that glowsquid kindly provided above):
Barrel Blastapalooza (Donkey Kong Country 3)
Timber's Balloon Pop (Diddy Kong Racing DS)
Dribble Skillz (Mario Hoops 3-on-3)
Bowser's Lair Hockey (Mario Party 7)
Bicep Pump (Mario Tennis: Power Tour)
Reflex Rally (Mario Tennis: Power Tour)
Cannon Kaos (Mario vs. DK 2)
Heads Up (Super Mario Strikers)
Yoshi's Egg Toss (Yoshi's Island DS)
unnamed Star Fox Command game
unnamed Odama game
unnamed Animal Crossing: Wild World game
ostensible Nintendogs game
Apparently, there were wallpapers available at this time, too. It seems that the Wayback Machine does not yield to any of these games or downloadable wallpapers.
On the link provided above, it seems that some users in 2015 found many of the Donkey Kong Country games and have them archived. However, I have not tried to download these yet.
Edit:
Cannon Kaos is no longer archived on the Spanish website suggested. This Wayback link to the Nintendo website doesn't work for me, but I don't know if that's just me. Another link provided just takes you to an updated page on the current Nintendo website.
Essentially, none of the non-download links in the DK Vine thread work.

Thanks.
I remember WarioWare Inc Mega Party Games's and Mario Party Advance's websites being entirely Flash games. I miss it a lot, and it'd be fantastic if someone could archive them.

Have you had any luck finding these websites on the Wayback Machine? Or, at the very least, have you tried taking the link to the 2006 Nintendo webpage that's somewhere above? I couldn't get it to work, but I don't know if that's just me.
Here's something like an update. Although I haven't found any of the Flash games that were hosted on the official Nintendo website, I found a few on the official Animal Crossing website via the Wayback Machine. Here's a link.

WarioWare's would only direct me to a "You Need a Flash Player to Go Here" page, and I don't know how to go beyond that.
Mario Party Advance's has its "in-game" menu screen accessible, but it loads indefinitely as soon as you pick a map.

Saw this thread and thought it was really interesting. The one I'd be interested in finding the most is the supposed Nintendogs one. Also, Cannon Kaos can still be played on that Spanish site through the Wayback Machine via this link . Unfortunately it is of course in Spanish but I might try to translate it by downloading it using this . Does this video I found resemble the Nintendogs game that you remember in any way?
Is this anything? I searched for Bowser's Lair Hockey limiting the filetype to swf files, and found this. P.S. In case you didn't know, just use filetype: to limit the file types you find in the results.

mega.nz/#!LcoT0CAY!KpL5Pr7C_owbyuPao3x1qf591Irdd-Rej5C5fMGPNQou Not sure what it is, but Google said it was a game selection panel. This could be used as a reference point to see which games exist. It also said something about a quiz. I also found a Nintendogs swf ad for neopets on their image server if you guys are interested.
