All right guys, this one's pretty interesting.
For those of you not familiar, Jayo Felony is a rapper from San Diego, CA who had his 15 minutes of fame in the 90s before promptly falling into an oblivion afterwards. However, like all fading D-list celebrities, he went out with a bang. Jayo went after Jay Z, one of the most famous rappers ever, in 2001. From what I understand, the beef seems to stem from either some kind of contract dispute, or Jayo felt Jay Z was being a dick towards the West Coast hip hop scene, or both.
The song in question is Trued Up, which is not lost. It's available to listen to on YouTube.
However, there was a music video released in the summer of 2001 that only aired once on MTV and BET and promptly never aired again. According to Jayo and Henchmen Entertainment, Def Jam Records (Jay's label) attempted to get the song off the album Bullet Proof Love, released in June 2001, which is odd, given that you'd think Jay Z would let such a perceived minor rapper get inside his head. Even more strange is the fact that the music video has never properly resurfaced online since; it was uploaded on YouTube once in 2011 before getting removed.
I'm honestly curious to see what's in the music video. It's perhaps just another generic rap music video from this era, but part of me thinks they roasted Jay Z hard on this, and the public must see.
