Now this was something I thought of a few days ago. I know that the USA is really prominent in the animation world since the mid-late 1910s, but I don't ever hear this state ever do animation outside of stuff from Cartoon Pizza(Pinky Dinky Doo, Stanley, alongside a few animated Sesame Street segments), & Channel News 5 made an animated 30-second Christmas promo some time in the 1970s, but other than that I have no idea. Does anyone else here know? We might be looking at some really obscure piece of lost media here.
Things it's not: Tennessee Tuxedo And His Tales - Total Television is from New York, NOT Tennessee. Just to make it clear. Any of Cartoon Pizza's stuff - At least I hope not, because it would mean we went into making full fledged cartoons when the rest of the country had already been doing that. EVEN BOSTON. DePatie-Freleng Enterprises - They're from Burbank, California. Encore Cartoons - They're from Nevada. ANY OF THESE - For one, they're not animated, & two, they weren't made by actual Tennessean studios.
From what I can tell, it's seemingly almost impossible to find information about television shows that were actually made by Tennessean studios outside of Cartoon Pizza. Either that, or I'm just dumb. If anyone's willing to contribute, let me know. Meanwhile I might go on a hunt to see if any sites know any other cartoons from that specific state.
