I'll be developing a new RSD Game Maker game called Core Mind sometime, & I will be making a demo for it before going onto the full game. Here are some of the ideas for what it would be:
It would be an open-world puzzle shoot-em-up where you explore many levels going through every nook, & cranny, finding secrets, branching paths, items, & other wild stuff along the way. It'll feature at least over 15 levels, several items(some of which will be really hard to implement on this MS-DOS engine), an entirely original composition(albeit inspired by multiple artists), & some stuff that can be considered impressive when it comes to RSD Game Maker.
The demo version would probably have at least half an hour of content packed in, & the full game might end up having more than 3 hours of content considering the amount of ideas I have for this game, making it probably the longest RSD Game Maker game.
Here are some items that I might consider having in the game:
Worm Hook: This item also exists in Terraria, except here it's only used sparingly through areas with floors that are mostly dangerous. To get it, you must find the worm enemy, shoot it twice before it latches onto you, then once it gets shot twice, it becomes permanently stunned, & pressing "P" will allow you to pick it up, & therefore use it as a grappling hook by pressing "H".
Lortess: This item allows you to do a swirl which can destroy weak enemies like Jurvies, Tulvinos, & Behoins. Enemies stronger than those won't be affected by the swirl move.
T-Shoot Box: This box shoots out a purple wave when it's orange, & when a purple wave touches the item, that item becomes a Springio which is an enemy that takes 3 hits to kill. When the box turns yellow, it stops shooting, & is now vulnerable to your attacks. It only takes 1 hit to kill it, but when it's orange, you have to wait for about 22 seconds for it to become yellow. When killed, its soul is released, & it can be used to kill stronger enemies quicker.
Vimmer: Like the smooth marble block from Terraria, you can place it anywhere, but you have to find it somewhere around a secret area. If used, it'll shoot out a smoothly curved marble made out of marble(heh).
I already made a piece of music for it beforehand, but for now on this is where notes about development on the game will go on.
