I'm not sure if this is missing or very hard to find, so please don't be upset if this is already found.
One December in 2006 I remember watch AFV with my mom when a weird skit started to play (at least I think it was a skit since my mom and I both remember a crowd laughing). It was a black and white video of a Raggedy Ann inside a miniature house playing with what looked like a kinder happy hippo (candy) dancing around and reenacting the lyrics to the song 'I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas'.
Both the raggedy ann doll and hippo looked they were on sticks and that was the only way they seemed to move. It was in black and white but didn't look old, but it just had a filter on it. I think there was a Santa in it but I'm not sure. The raggedy ann doll couldn't have been full size since I remember it looking a lot like the one I had that was only about 5 inches tall. I doubt the hippo was a kinder happy hippo, since it was a little bit larger than raggedy Ann it just looked very similar. The only reason I thought it was the candy at the time was because my uncle got them for me around Christmas.
The only scene we can both remember, are of raggedy Ann lying down in a bed and dreaming about her going downstairs to see the hippo . My mom remembers when ever the chorus played it turned into a 'follow the bouncing ball video' but only when the chorus played. I remember Santa trying to force the hippo down the chimney, but then giving up and it going through the front door (I re listened and it matches the lyrics so I think it's in the short).
The episode that aired in December 10th 2006 Season 17, Episode 10. But the problem is it could've been a rerun, or worse a commercial. I looked on the afv archived site for a while and I couldn't find anything. It does seem weird to air that on AFV to a live audience, but it's also pretty weird to have a laugh track on a commercial.
If anyone knows about this please let me know. Merry Christmas!
