Yeah, I really want to do this at some point. I tried this before, but all my progress was sadly wiped out. Now I need to rebuild it. Here's some of what I remember putting on there:
Tier 1:
Several famous Genesis games(Sonic, Alex Kidd, Decap Attack, Kid Chameleon, Vectorman, Virtua Fighter 2, etc.)
Bubsy(as hated as it is, it IS important in Sega Genesis history)
Action 52(not really important, but very famous)
Atgames(I mean, they're the most popular of all the licensed rebranded console manufacturers out there when it comes to the Genesis)
Console Wars(It was the START of the very tagline, so it just HAS to be put on the iceberg!)
Lock-On Technology in Sonic & Knuckles
Blast processing
Earthworm Jim
Disney games(One of which is one of the best selling games on the whole console)
Madden series
Sega CD & 32X
Tectoy
Tier 2:
Awesome Possum
Model 3
Electronic Arts cartridge design
Wisdom Tree games
Frogger
Sega Channel
Zero Wing
Radica(a lesser known manufacturer of licensed rebranded COAC Genesis plug-n-plays like Atgames)
Bootleg Mario games
Bootleg Sonic games
Pier Solar And the Great Architects
Project MD
Road Rash
4 Way Play
Game over screen in Felix the Cat bootleg from Russia
Sonic the Comic
Menacer
Activator(A full-body controller)
Sega Nomad
JVC X'Eye
Power Base Converter
Super RetroTrio
Retron 5
Mega Sg
Sega Game Toshokan
Game Genie
Sega Neptune
Tier 3:
Star Control
Blast Processing is real?
ResQ
Sonic Crackers
Mean Machines Sega
TMSS
Bootleg Pokemon games
Sega Genesis CDX
J-Cart(Codemasters sometimes used it for 4-player compatibility. You could plug 2 extra controllers on the cartridge.)
HeartBeat Personal Trainer/Outback Joey
Name change in North America due to trademark issues
More than 64 colors on screen
Zero Tolerance
Elite
Jelly Boy
Full Motion Video
Accolade vs. Sega lawsuit
Beep! MegaDrive
Action Replay
Cardboard box games
Sega Mega Jet
Tier 4:
PSY-Q Development System
Magistr Drive
Gamtec
Realtec
929 Fighter
Game Cartridge Organizer
Art Alive
Konsolation
Tier 5:
EZCom
Game Joy
Iraq War 2003(yes, this is a real game.)
Soul Blade(again, this exists.)
Yeah, that's about it for now. I might give out other entries later on, & you guys can add on.
