Created an account with (almost) the same name, but I just couldn't wait another second to post this, so here we are. Hey, lost media finders, I'm in a bit of a jam. With uh, what do you call it, media that's only partially lost? Or just... inaccessible?
So there's this cartoon. A particularly obscure cartoon that I love a lot. Boyster, running from 2014 to 2017 about the adventures of a half-oyster human hybrid. For as long as I can remember being invested in it, only about half the episodes have been available for viewing, at least in English. Given that there exist TV listings for the episodes I've never seen, it's safe to say that they've aired in English on television, but are unable to be found online. This kind of sucks, given that reruns of this show don't happen anymore. I specified "in English", because this show was originally French, with both English and Spanish dubs, to my knowledge. I know for a fact that all of the Spanish-dub ones have aired as confirmed by my friend, and all the original French ones have as confirmed by Boyster's page on France TV. When I say "missing episodes," I'm specifically talking about the English dub.
While the episodes that are missing don't exist on most mainstream cartoon-watching sites, I don't completely believe they're lost to time. In my perusal, I've come across a couple of sites who at least claim to have the episodes that have been missing on their watchlist, available for viewing. While I'm unable to confirm whether or not this is a front, it gives me just the tiniest sliver of hope that not all is lost. This may be a shot in the dark; it may very well end up actually being a front, and the episodes really are lost to time, but I wanted to at least try. And even if this isn't the most appropriate place to ask, I'd figure that protectors of lost media would have the resources to help me.
The sites I mentioned above are here and here (goes without saying, but make sure you have AdBlock on). Every episode after "Lab Coat Party" is what I'm looking for. The episodes are behind a redirect to signing up for a different site as well as a paywall, but I suspect that there's a way around it if the video is embedded into the page itself. If you think you might have another lead, please don't hesitate to let me know. Also, feel free to ask me any additional questions to get information you need; I pride myself on being quite the expert on the topic of this silly show.
Warm regards,
Ami
