I know Wii U Tech Demos are (for some reason) listed on the wiki but I thought I would inform this forum about Wii Tech Demos.
There are 9 Wii tech demos shown at E3 2006, 3 would make it into Wii Sports, 2 would make it into Wii Play, 1 would make it into Wii Sports Resorts, 2 would make it into Wii Music, and 1 would (to my knowledge) never be used anyways let's look at them.
1.Wii Sports Tennis-Found (As part of Wii Sports)
Wii Sports Tennis is a Tech Demo where you use the Wii remote as a Tennis Racket to hit a ball. Your character moves automatically. This Tech Demo was eventually used in Wii Sports.
2.Wii Sports Baseball- Found (As Part of Wii Sports)
In this Tech Demo you use the Wii Remote as a Baseball Bat to swing a ball there may have been pitching though it doesn't seem like there is footage of that. (I say that because Pitching was in the retail release.) Like Tennis thus was used in Wii Sports
3.Wii Sports Golf- Found (as part of Wii Sports)
In this game you use the Wii Remote as a Golf Club to hit a Golf Ball to a hole. Like the other two it was eventually used in Wii Sports unlike...
4. Wii Sports Airplane-Lost (Remade in Wii Sports Resort)
Wii Sports Airplane is a Tech Demo where you use the Wii Remote to fly an airplane around an island go through rings to get points. This was meant to be included in Wii Sports but wasn't and instead added to the sequel Wii Sports Resort
5.Remote Pointer Demo: Shooting- Found (As part of Wii Play)
Shooting is a Duck Hunt like Tech Demo where you use the Wii Remote's Pointer to shoot Balloons, Targets, Clay Pigeons, UFOs, and Ducks to rack up points. This game was eventually used in Wii Play
6.Remote Pointer Demo: Table Tennis- Found (As Part of Wii Play)
Table Tennis is a Tech Demo where you use the Wii Remote's Pointer to control a Ping Pong Paddle start a rally with the CPU and try to keep the Rally going as long as possible. This like Shooting would come into Wii Play (Forgot to mention I couldn't any E3 footage of it so I just used a Wii Play gameplay video of Table Tennis)
7.Remote Pointer Demo: Obstacle Course- Lost
www.ign.com/videos/2006/05/12/wii-obstacle-course-demo-wii-obstacle-course-demo-off-screen
Obstacle Course is a Tech Demo where you use Wii Remote's pointer to move a Mii along an obstacle course and rotate the controller left and right to fit in an outline (sorta like Pose Mii Plus from Wii Play Motion.) You are also supposed to collect coins and avoid walls so you don't lose your coins and the first person to cross the finish line wins 50 coins. (Though it is possible to win without the coin bonus.)
8.Wii Music: Orchestra- Found (As Part of Wii Music)
Orchestra is a Tech Demo you conduct an Orchestra to either The Legend of Zelda Theme or Carmen. You use the Wii Remote to swing up and down to a certain tempo. This was eventually included in 2008's Wii Music.
9.Wii Music: Drums-Found (As Part of Wii Music)
This Tech Demo you use 2 Wii Remotes to play Drums and that is all I could find on it. It was used in Wii Music though.
Anyways, I hope you have a great day and adios amigo.
