I got a job where we get used DVDs to buy. I'm wondering if there's any I should keep my eye out for possible or really rare releases. We even buy bootlegs.
I know right now we have seasons 1 & 2 of the adventures of Pete and pete. We have a data base of what we have and had. Its absolutely insane.

There is a very rare direct to DVD Alvin and the Chipmunks film called "Little Alvin and the Mini Munks". The film was on youtube for a while, though I believe it got taken down last year. Fans have managed to save copies of it during the time it was up. It was a pretty low quality hypercam recording. We've been trying to get a hold of a better quality direct DVD rip.
The DVD itself however, is the stuff of legend among Chipmunks fans. Only a few copies have ever surfaced online. Pricing anywhere $75 to $300. (the $300 one was on ebay pretty recently, actually. It might even still be there... most of us fans are broke...) I've been trying to get my hands on a copy for 7 years.
It was released in 2003 along with an equally rare CD soundtrack album. It sold poorly though. Leaving few copies for collectors to find. The film is live action with puppets of the Chipmunks and Chipettes, and with Ross Bagdasarian Jr. as Dave Seville and Janice Karman as Lalu (a character exclusive to the film). It was intended for very small children and was meant to teach them simple life lessons. (It's corny as hell but I love it to death.)
If you find one you could definitely sell it.
Edit: I forgot to mention, the DVD has a special documentary type segment featuring Ross and Janice. It's listed on the back cover as "Special Parenting Section" but from what I've heard about it they just talk about making the film. This has not surfaced online as of right now mainly because nobody can find the actual DVD to rip it.
