So... I haven't seen anyone commenting about this here, but there's some stuff in the LMA.
In mid-august, someone found something very interesting: a very short video of a failed Saint Seiya live action adaptation, named "StarStorm". This was mainly talked about in Latin American media, since I think a Brazilian dude found it and eventually uploaded it online. It was everywhere, and I thought that these news would reach the LMW eventually.
This is technically partially lost media, all we have is the short video. There's literally nothing more about the project aside from the fact that it was made in the 90s. And that it looks hideous.

All I know about it is that Bandai were the ones that were pushing for a live action film and potential series so they could begin selling more toys especially in the North American market (Saint Seiya was never broadcast in the US/Canada), they had this live action pilot produced during the "golden age" of MMPR type shows (Super human samurai, tattooed teenage alien fighters, etc..). Toei had nothing to do with it and did not approve of the live action film/series they had produced. I'm quite interested in finding out how this Brazilian uploader came upon the pilot- perhaps it was actually broadcast on television there, it wouldn't be to far fetched, thats how the Mighty Orbots pilot "Broots" was found, it was actually broadcast on an English language network in Argentina.
Not quite yet but her upcoming vault series might have it be found.
Very excited to see what stuff Ray Mona's "The Vault" showcases! Hopefully the news about them losing the tape was a mistake or a new copy was found. If she managed to find Saban Moon, I'm confident she can find StarStorm
