This one doesn't even approach article status, but I think it's a good story. When I was a kid, I came back to my cousins' home while staying with their parents. Playing on television that Sunday night was the tail-end of a movie that described an atomic war and its aftermath driving man back to the caves, with dinosaur-like creatures re-emerging. It was all done in a montage, and for forty-odd years, I wondered what kind of movie ended rather than began with that sort of narrative description. I don't believe I ever saw it again, or if I did, I never caught that ending.
Flash fwd to this weekend, and I finish watching MST3K's 'Teenage Caveman' on my friend's Plex, and caught that very ending. The filter of memory had changed the fine details, but there was no way this wasn't what I had been looking for all these years. Funny thing is, I recalled that the montage seemed to make no sense, and now that I know it was a Bert I Gordon effort, it all makes sense.
