www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc4sgsxVSfE A very obscure short that was just recently made more popular by RebelTaxi, little information is known by who and why it was created. Before being featured by Rebeltaxi, it's upload on Youtube only had 9 views. The short was created in '95.
So it at least had a release on tape, it's just incredibly obscure due to how...awful it is. I suspected it might have been lost media before the RebelTaxi video, so I'm glad Pan found it. I felt like I had missed out on something nobody knows about.

Well, you were probably one of the few people to know about it based on the views for the upload before RebelTaxi said anything about it.
(Resurrecting the thread on this godlike content because Waiting for the Ball to Drop Boredom™).
Could...could this be the first recorded mockbuster given that it's trying to cash in on the Toy Story craze? I mean it's not directly about toys or toys coming to life, but still.

Both The Christmas Light and its sequel The Christmas Brigade have also been covered by one of my favorite YouTube content producers, Phelous, here (for the original film) and here (for the sequel).
Honestly, for my thoughts on the original film, it had horrible CGI animation for its time, poor voice acting and an almost non-existent story, but its only redeeming quality is that it's short.
For the sequel, however, the makers of the sequel somehow manage to make it even worse than the original due to its large amounts of padding the film's length to 72 minutes (especially during the ending where the main adventure is over, the characters do nothing but sing terrible versions of classic Christmas songs and even recap the original film for no reason), lazier animation, an uninspired and boring villain named Dr. D who wants to bring misery to the world by shrinking famous monuments around the world, and an even worse story that has no real conclusion.
I will say that even with Phelous' usually funny commentary, the sequel is a huge chore to sit through and I ended up agreeing with him for the film to just end already. It may as well be one of the worst animated sequel films of all time.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
