A Pair of Pigs' (aka may i have oats) missing artist

Folk art and outsider art enthusiast here.
It's actually very common for folk art pieces like A Pair of Pigs to have the artists behind the works forgotten to time due to how obscure they are. The most information I've seen about this piece is that it was a commission by livestock owners with the purpose of overexaggerating the features of their animals.

A lot of works similar to the subject tend to have no artist names attached from what I've seen in general. Some of the paintings have artists like Charles Turner and A. M. Gauci, with Gauci's results being more prevalent with his rectangular cow paintings. The thing that neither of those two artists match up and there's defiantly a lot more artists that likely have never been named that have painted similar livestock imagery. I don't know if there's a chance to easily recover the name of the artist. It makes things even more difficult since the majority of these kinds of artists just rarely seem to ever bother adding their names to these kinds of works. Similar paintings also have very similar styles popular for the time.

Neither the British (English) School nor Compton Verney are the artists. The Compton Verney is the manor that holds this piece and many other art pieces similar to it. The British School has a lot of works that don't really have artist names to them.
