In the late 50s and early 60s, Mattel sponsored reruns of Harvey Comics cartoons such as Casper under the title Matty's Funday Funnies, with Mattel's original mascot Matty Mattel being the host in various bumpers. Later on, in the 1960s, the show would switch to airing Beany And Cecil cartoons instead of Harveytoons. Only a small handful of these bumpers and full episodes are found. Example:
Considering how big Mattel is, it's kind of shocking that the bumpers are still mostly lost. On a different note, Freddy Funko's design and name are suspiciously similar to Matty Mattel. Possibly a homage?
