I think it must've been something else, because if you didn't click on the video that you downloaded then you shouldn't have gotten a virus. Also did you check what kind of file it is, if it's an mp4 then it's an video file. Never happened to me tho.

it works by using the youtube url id to search the websites it searches and posts if its available or not. Not all videos are there because it only is able to find video that someone submitted to the websites manually as far as I recall. Like if before a YouTuber privates or makes the video unlisted someone can grab it and upload to those sites. It's doesn't have magical powers to grab a private video only before it is private.
