Fighting Foodons, also known as 格闘料理伝説ビストロレシピ (Kakutō Ryōri Densetsu Bisutoro Reshipi, "Martial Arts Cooking Legend Bistro Recipe") is an anime series that was dubbed by 4Kids from 2001-2002. It was animated by the now defunct company Group TAC. It was based on a manga which was based on a game of the same name.
I heard of it through a video by Billiam, and also because I'm interested in hobbyani type shows (ex: Pokémon, beyblade, etc.) On account of it being dubbed by 4kids, it, of course, had an insane amount of changes made to it, included but not limited to cutting scenes, changing names of characters and settings, etc. Of course, I tried to look if somebody had subtitled the Japanese version. I did not find anything. I looked on several websites, such as Nyaa.si for even a raw version of the anime without subtitles. I couldn't find anything beyond a 6-minute clip from episode 1, as well as some low quality clips of the various openings and endings.

The only other version I could find of the anime was, of course, the english version made by 4kids, and a Chinese dubbed (功夫小食神) version and the Korean dubbed version (요리킹 조리킹), which are both uploaded in less than 480p quality. Additionally, there appears to be a lost Indonesian dub of this anime which I could only find a 1 minute clip of, but this is not the subject of my post.

My personal guess on why this anime is lost is because of the group that animated it, Studio TAC, going out of business and liquidating all of their assets. So my guess is either this is videotaped by some Japanese person, or some random company has this in its possession.
I've been looking on several Japanese auction sites as well, and someone appears to be selling the Japanese scripts for the anime (although they do not have all of them). I'm considering buying them if I ever scratch enough money.

What should be noted is that even though the japanese version never seemed to have gotten some type of VHS/DVD release, the soundtrack appears to be for sale on DVD.
And another thing, the manga for it is is lost as well. I'm currently working on buying a physical copy of it (which has been unsuccesful as listings for them are very expensive, as well as the manga being out of print) and posting rips of it on the internet archive.
I hope this is found soon.
