Another mysterious film that I found is this cartoon that is animated in Romania and yes it this yet another incredibly obscure foreign film and it is based on a Romanian legend on Baba Dochia and to which there are many verisons of this folktale of the legendary shepherdess known as Dochia who represents spring times and this legend often follows the motif of Dochia turning into stone along with her sheep or her shedding off her many coats of wool.
This one specifically was possibly made about the legend of Dochia the sister (or daughter) of King Decebalus she flees when the Romans captured the capital of Dacia known as in 106 CE and when Decebalus killed himself in order to not get captured
Dochia was forced to flee and escapes into the Carpathian Mountains she didn’t want to be forced to marry the emperor and she took goats or sheep with her into the mountains and when the emperor discovered her, Dochia became a rock upon calling on a Dacian God named Zamolxis.
or it’s possible it is about the Roman Dacian wars instigated by Trajan in order to annex Dacia and the screenshots below possibly prove that. That this cartoon was about the Roman Dacian wars
this cartoon has very little of any screenshots at all I don’t know who owns the tapes or the original thing but I do suspect that this cartoon is an educational one or just maybe like an Cinderella-esque tale made during the Soviet times of Romania possibly distributed in schools, theaters and what not. The likely ones that might hold the tapes were possibly the relatives of the director, teachers etc or those who collect VHS tapes.
Im not really Romanian or Italian but forgive me if there’s any mistakes in this as I dove into a rabbit hole on obscure cartoons about the ancient past
the site that holds this film is now down and I couldn’t access it anymore there isn’t anything descriptive about it but here is the WayBack Machine link if it even works.
even for the makers there is little information about this Eastern Cartoon about Ancient History

thanks in advance if anyone who is Romanian and who knows more information, since I reached a lot of dead ends even when I searched the Director’s name to which I came close, however like always with obscure media there was very little out there with barely any information about Decebal și Traian on the internet.
