So back in my 2009 - 2010 school year, we were introduced to a thing in computer class known as "Fast Forword". It was installed on each desktop where we had to open it, and depending on our level, we'd be sent to either "levels" 1-5.
Each "level" was a set of 6 (sometimes 5) "long minigames", consisting of questions about reading skills. I remember specifically doing one level where there was a bird(?) with a magic show, a bear in a kitchen, lizards at a playground, anteaters in a library, a bird(?) in a boat, and a dog hosting some game show. I don't remember exactly what each game was like, but they all tested your reading skills. (Oh, also, the main menu of the map had a short loop of music where it was playing a banjo). The longer you'd play the game and get answers correct, the more stars you'd earn which would eventually "pass" that minigame and completely lock it. Forever.
The dog hosting a game show I remember was the worst one, since you had to read a lot compared to the other 4 games.
Eventually, I levelled up pretty quickly, where I was brought to the next level: I BARELY remember anything about this one, honestly.
Many many years later, I decided to try and look for this again, but there is hardly ANY footage of the minigames I remember. Not only that, but, OBVIOUSLY, there is no way to even access this program at all.
Would love for there to at least be more info on this with the help of this community, or any knowledge from others that might have done this, too!
Okay this is INSANE. I’m from Arizona and I’ve been searching for the name of this program FOREVER. I am now going to start digging and see if I can find anything. My school made us do the same thing and you helped me find it! I made a post awhile ago kinda explaining the same thing. I’m so excited to start this search. And will let you know what I find!
