Hello! I just wanted to give it a shot here, since i've been trying to search for it since 2019... To sum it up, it's about a report I saw a long time ago on Youtube about how Rayman 1 was created - an upcoming sneakpeak of Rayman 2 on what seemed to be G4TV. My memory is foggy, but I posted this 4 years ago in the Rayman Pirate Community
The description is as follows: First time I saw it was 4 or 3 years ago, I think it was a recording of a segment on the american channel G4
(i'm mostly saying this because I remember that the narrator used in their show, ICONS, sounds close to the narrator i remember from this clip) , it shows a girl close to somekind of studio/green screen, where she claims ''He's set the rank for the most handsome european man on the field. David Beckham? No, Rayman! And he's not afraid...''
It proceeds to show a little backstory on Ubisoft as a company, (how they mostly made educational games), how Michel Ancel got into the company, show the development of Rayman 1, mentioned Tonic Trouble and talked about Rayman 2, also exclaiming It's considered to be one of the best videogames of all time. I can't really date that clip, but by the quality and how they talked about Rayman 2 as a new game, I would date it around 1998-1999.
Additional info that I remember is that there was french stereotyped music (you know, the accordion thingy) and that there was like somekind of intermission at the beggining at the clip.
Things that I remember appearing in the video: -The old Ubisoft logo intro, from 1998.
-Deep dive into the development of Rayman 1. Shows music production process.
-Discusses and mentions the original prototype for Rayman 2, also Tonic Trouble.
-The possibility that it's not G4, but ZDTV/ TechTV.
-Shows clip of Rayman on a lilypad when the narrator says Considered to be, one of the best videogames of all time.
EXTRA INFO: I remember watching this video on a youtuber known as Haruka, a portuguese Rayman fan. I remember she also posted content related to promos and commercials, including multilanguage versions of the Rayman 3 commercials.
Thank you all in advance, I've been searching through Youtube and the Internet Archive with no luck whatsoever.
PS: I am aware of the Everybody loves Rayman report made on Rayman3 by G4 in 2003 BTW.
