What is one thing you hate about lost media hunting?

I'm mixed on that IMO. On one hand, it can kinda suck that a piece of media can't be found in its original language. On the other hand, at least it shows that more people HAVE known & seen it than just those in one country. Plus I'm rather fond of things from other countries. Sure, I love me some Space Cats & Comix Zone, but I am also into other countries' works. Oscar's Orchestra from the UK is a fun cartoon about instruments stopping a villain whose ruling a town where music is banned, I love Western European(France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Nordic countries, UK, Ireland, etc.) music, The Bluffers is an interesting & dark 1980s Dutch cartoon & Akazukin ChaCha (Japan) is like, one of the best TV shows I've ever seen in my life! As a result, seeing dubbed material can be interesting, especially if a dub has a different(and sometimes, better) theme song than the original.

Oh i've got nothing against fictional media produced in other countries, i'm just saying I can't enjoy stuff that was originally made in English if it's dubbed in another language is all.

Some foreign theme songs are cool, i'm talking about the episodes themselves.

I don't find it that big of a deal. Heck, if anything, it can be quite cool in some way since I'm a retro gamer & love some challenging(but still fair) games. It can mean really having to explore some nooks and crannies to see new, unexplored places that not many people have seen for a while(the Wayback Machine can really help with that). And if, against all odds, that low success rate actually WORKS & we get the thing we're looking for found, it would be quite satisfying! Bonus points if it is wonderfully interesting, such as being genuinely good, having an interesting history behind it, kind of unique in of itself, etc.

Ooh, this is going to be a controversial answer but here goes.

People complaining about the kid's show searches. Don't get me wrong, I completely get their frustration, as I'm into some obscure searches myself, but I've come to accept that most people in the community likely aren't interested in pre-Cartoon Network Secret Squirrel and Atom Ant stuff (Hanna-Barbera lost media in general isn't talked about much outside of The Moxy Show and the Seth Macfarlane Flintstones pilot). And it starts to get a bit ridiculous when some of them expect everyone to drop their current searches just to go look for London After Midnight.

If you want your search to be recognized by a big lost media influence, contact LSSQ or Lost Media Busters about it! They've been open for lost media requests for a long while. For more diverse lost media topics on YouTube, I would recommend BradenINSANE; who covers all sorts of lost media topics, Scribbles to Screen; who covers British lost media, kylie boggly and ShaiiValley; who both cover more obscure topics.

It just creates a ton a unnecessary negativity within the community imo.
