What is one thing you hate about lost media hunting?

I think my signature makes it clear what I hate. 

Possibly trolls, they always think they have the thing but they don’t.

I'm half and half on this one. In one sense, some searches that have vague descriptions, small possibilities, and rely on hearsay-have in fact been proven to exist. Yet my biggest gripe with the Yeah Yeah Beebiss search was that a lot of people made assumptions instead of looking at the available information we had. The search I was involved in had given us plenty of more info because people made a point to investigate the actual game listing companies, opposed to just postulating on the possibilities.

I'm not against speculation, I'm more so annoyed by the active choice to ignore evidence. That being said, yeah 100% I'll tweet Craig McCracken about a Japanese Powerpuff Girls arcade machine that had sketchy info at best. If something "might" exist, my interest is definitely peaked.

Its gotten so much worse recently. There's an number of searches full of those types who don't actually read the threads and look at the evidence.

Any government officials in possession of the computer files of many notorious perpetrators of real world events, which is the case with Eric Harris's Lost Doom WADs and Osama bin Laden's compound computer files.

When stupid people come on and make trouble and/or hoaxes.
