The video has been removed. What's this mini-show called? What's it about?
Based on my knowledge of the topic, back in the early 2000s Playhouse Disney had a block of shows called Mini Show and Tell Time. This block aired in between the main programming of the channel and featured two shows- Marcel's Animal Friends and Higglytown Heroes. I believe the block aired frequently throughout the day and lasted quite a while since you can find commercials that advertise it.
From what I've been told, each show had three different segments made which means there would be six in all. I'm not sure if that's true though since I've only seen reference to one Higglytown Heroes short and I haven't looked into Marcel's Animal Friends at all. There are also some rumors that claim the Higglytown Heroes short was once on the Playhouse Disney site and YouTube as well but I haven't been able to confirm that.
Essentially these shorts acted as pilot episodes since there are many differences between them and the final product, not to mention I also think the whole promotion was created with that in mind. The commercials that advertise the block tell kids to go online with their parents to pick their favorite show which is probably why Higglytown Heroes became a full series and Marcel's Animal Friends didn't.
Interesting. This kinda reminds me of when I remember seeing a clip of Einstein Pals on YouTube, then removed.
After some digging around, I found that a company by the name of Halo Pictures had some part in the production of the Higglytown Heroes mini show. The site for Halo Pictures doesn't have much for Higglytown Heroes now, but I put the link into the Wayback Machine, and a vimeo window popped up. That being said, I may have the link for the mini show, but I'm not sure. The video is private, but I believe there is some way we could view it.
There’s not much to find…Disney has obviously spent over two decades trying to pretend it never existed.
The show is on Disney+, LOL. Disney never forgot about it…they just dug it in the archives with a lot of master recordings that they got from a leprechaun while he was sleeping in a bowling alley.

Sorry, I was talking about Marcel’s Animal Friends.

I still have not really looked into that show, and I haven't heard any updates with the Higglytown Heroes pilot either. Maybe covering them again in the next kids show lost media video would help spread awareness. Obviously they did air on TV so we'd just need a recording of them from when they were airing, and much more obscure content that was aired for shorter periods has shown up before.
I also don't think we have an established number of shorts that were made. I could have swore Higglytown Heroes has 2 and Marcel had 1 but I don't know where I read that from originally or if I'm just misremembering.
