I was flipping channels and I started watching CNN, because there wasn't really anything else on and this bump came on. It consisted of a dirty gray background, a ventriloquist puppet standing on a podium and camera and microphone outlines in front of it. The venteiloquist dummy looked like the puppet from the Howdy Doody Show, but he had red hair, red lips, white skin, a red tie and a white suit and dress pants. A disembodied voice (maybe a reporter, given the microphones and cameras) asked the puppet "Mr.President, what are your plans for dealing with ISIS?". The puppet opened his mouth and only managed to get out "I-" and then the scene cut to several different close-up angles of his face in quick succession. It cut back to him standing at the podium, and he was staring straight at the camera, and he said "CNN" in a robotic voice. It then cut one final time to a shot of the CNN logo on the dirty gray background. Normal programming then resumed. This is not fake, I rememeber this distinctly, and I would appreciate some help finding any record of this bump.

"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
I think I saw something similar to this. If I remember correctly, they eventually trimmed down the bumper to just the puppet saying "CNN" or something similar, then the logo appearing on the background.
Terry The Cat, when and where did you see this bump?
If I indeed saw it (and it's not some false memory), it had to have been around the time ISIS started, since they mentioned it. I can't remember exactly when and I paid no mind to it at the time. The whole thing gave me this "anti-Trump" vibe.
Alright Terry the Cat, but the first time I saw the bump was around 2013, so long before Donald Trump was involved with politics. I also remember seeing the shortened version of it, but it was late at night and I don't remember what channel I was watching. Mind you, this was about a year later from the first time I saw it.
CNN has had some really odd and at times creepy bumpers over the years so I would not be surprised in the slightest if this is real.
Here is some good news you might be looking for: the Web Archive has many full hour-long newcasts from CNN, including the commercials and bumpers in between segments. This gives it a good chance of being on one of these videos if it exists. Assuming this would be from 2013 or 2014, typing in "cnn 2013" or "cnn 2014" on the videos section will narrow down the results to these newscasts. It might take alot of time and searching through videos but it's probably your best shot at finding it
Petition to rename the Lost Media Wiki into the random shows I remember from Treehouse TV forum

Alright, so I searched web archive and while I was able to find several CNN broadcasts from 2013, I wasn't able to find any thing with puppets on CNN except for one somewhat promising clip of Anderson Cooper because I do remember that his show came on after the bump aired.
