I have a Reddit account, but I'm not sure on what board to go there. I feel like either it'll get no attention or I'll be told to f*** off.
don't waste your time. The OP doesn't care for reddit
I don't get how OP is supposed to get others interested or care if they won't try that route. It's their own loss like you said, and it's just kind of shooting themselves in their own foot.

I guess the big problem here is that Reddit... still doesn't really have that good of a reputation.

R/Music or R/Lost Media might work
Just because something is obscure, that doesn't mean it is or was ever lost in the first place. I have a small log of music that I've backed up over the years and I won't go as far as to say it's "found media" or "formerly lost".
The lost media sub has a significant problem with people not understanding this and will just post things that fit elsewhere there anyway. Unless it can be definitively shown and proven that it was lost at some point, it's more fitting in the music subs. If it's over a certain year old, r/vintageobscura would also be a good place to post it once it's ripped.
Alright, I'm going to post about this on the r/lostmedia subreddit.
Wish me luck.
Bud, I'm going to let you know now that unless you or OP can prove that it was actually lost media at some point, it doesn't have a reasonable leg to stand on.
