It personally feels like it's "too early" for the PS1 to have come out in 1995 in North America. I think this is because I was still playing my parents' NES well into the late 90s, and we didn't get an actual PS1 until like late 1998 or even 1999. So mentally I place PS1 into the late 90s rather than the mid 90s. And of course that we were still getting bomb SNES games in 1995 so that has confused me as well.
•There was an Aquaman flim that was released in theaters in late 90s, early 2000s that was embrassingly bad and everyone made jokes about it. No such movie ever existed
•Larry King died in 2012. I distinctly remember watching TV and the news talking about his legacy and death just before school. He didn't die until 2021.
•I distinctly remember a scene in the kids flim Barnyard that was shown in theathers where Ben and Otis flashback to when Ben first discovers Otis as a calf. No such scene resembling this exist.

I just rewatched Matilda the other day. It was a movie I saw a lot as a kid, but I haven’t seen it much since. For some reason I always thought Trunchbull (spelling?) was Miss Honey’s mom (or stepmother), but I guess she’s her aunt. That threw me for a loop.

Not really a Mandela effect but there are a few words I've always found myself spelling wrong that I've only found out years later.
I spelt Wednesday as Wendsday (still think it makes more sense.
There was always this one country song with the lyric "hey, bartender" which I thought said "hey, Bob jr." I never knew until we were all singing it one day and they started laughing at me.

We had annual passes to a theme park when I was a kid and I swear I remember seeing maybe 10 people rowing a long boat/canoe into a cave at some point (I was on dry land across from them, looking across the water) and wondering what part what of what ride it was? I think I asked my parents and they had no clue. Now I don't even know if that was even a real ride, or if I ever saw people or a rowboat/canoe at all. Theme park brochure didnt list a rowboat ride, and I don't recall seeing a place you could rent one.
As a kid I misremembered the Lion King having a bit where after mufasas death scar takes simba under his wing and he runs away or something I guess.
And the scene I mistook it for which i realized on my first ever rewatch (whitch itself was quite some time back)….was when he told simba about the elephant graveyard.
I’d like to remind you this scene happened BEFORE mufasas death.
(Oh yeah I may have spoiled the lion king for somebody…sorry)
One case was EastEnders being set on the River Thames, instead of Albert Square. I actually thought it was set on the Thames, and then I realised that it was set in Albert Square. Silly me! 🤭🤭
Maybe you thought that due to the title sequence showing the river clearly from above. It is always the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Eastenders.
I mentioned the first two in another Mandela effect thread.
1. Sometime after Avril Lavigne released her "Let Go" album, I found out about her "b-sides" songs such as "Why" "Headset" "Falling Down" etc... and I found out she had also released some country or soft rock gospel songs "Temple of Life" "Two Rivers" and "Touch The Sky" and at some point I could have sworn she also released another song in a country style called "Under The Maples". I can find no evidence she ever did do that. There was a ballad released in 1880 with that title: www.loc.gov/item/2023834911/ but I am sure that wasn't what I was remembering. There is a song "Under The Maple Trees" which I didn't know about and a book "Under the Maples" by John Burroughs printed in 1921, but at the time I had no idea the book existed either.
2. In the 90s sometime, I was really into TMNT and for one Christmas, my parents bought me Turtle action figures of all 4 Turtles. I distinctly remember they all the right coloured eye masks, but all were wearing white robes. I no longer have them and I have yet to find any action figures or toys of the 4 turtles with white robes.
3. Henry Sandon a presenter on UK TV show Antiques Roadshow died recently on Christmas day aged 95. I was surprised to find out he was still alive up to 2 days ago. I thought he died a long time ago.
Tembo the Badass Elephant was not, in fact, a Wiiware game or even published by Nintendo (despite being a Gamefreak product). Thus the game would never have been mentioned in my Nintendo Power magazines circa prime Wii time. Also the game didn't come out in 2008, 9, or 10 and wasn't even on a Nintendo console. I somehow thought all of these things, I think I'm somehow mentally mixing Tembo with a similar vibe game like Edwardo the Samurai Toaster, which did get a Wiiware release and coverage in Nintendo Powerm
1.) There was a plane crash in 2009 not the Sully one but one that killed everyone in the Atlantic off the US coast there was an entire new cycle on how did no one came to rescue them from drowning.
2.) Michael Cera died of a drug overdose in 2012 people were talking about he was getting into More mature roles and he was cut short.
3.) Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani broke up around 2017-18 but were in good spirits about it. thats why the Superbowl commercial existed without the a few years ago bit.
4.) John larroquette died of old age during the pandemic late-early 2020-21
What are your event Mandela effects?
I remember the third one that was treanding and I recall it trending lmao

I just watched the movie Holes today and there is a line that I thought was different. In the part where Stanley writes a letter for his mom, the doctor interrupts by entering the room and says “one of your smells like the puke of a mule who’s been ruminating on asparagus for a week.” I always thought it was “piss” not “puke”. “Piss” makes more sense in that context, but it is kind of vulgar for Disney. Does Disney + have an edited version? Did I somehow see a director’s cut back in the day? I think I might have the original DVD somewhere, I’m going to have to check.
